Demo Timesheet

The Timesheet solution is provided free-of-charge to Novulo developers. It can be used as development resource or can be added as fully-functional module in your own Novulo applications.

Functionality
The Timesheet system demonstrates a simple and intuitive way to automate timesheet registration, keeping track of billable activities and time spent on those activities. Use public activities for those common tasks performed by all employees or specify a single user that will be responsible for performing the activity.

The system keeps track of very basic relation data, such as billing address information, in order to generate invoices that no further manual adjustments. To generate a new invoice, simply select the registrations you would like to invoice and press 'generate'. The 'Client billing' module even features a Google Map displaying the recipient's billing address, allowing you to immediately see where your invoice will be sent.

The selected registrations will be displayed in table form in the generated invoice document, including all billable expenses for each registration. The settings subsystem includes a 'Templates' module that allows users to simply add their own template or even download and adjust existing templates from any location.

How is it Build?
From a technical point of view this system showcases some powerful features that are easy to implement using the Novulo software. To demonstrate the versatility of the custom option in the architect, a simple custom field is transformed into complete integration of a third party tool (Google maps). Document generation is implemented using a webservice.

This webservice allows you to create documents with keyword replacements, adjustable content, table replacements (automatically adjusted number of table rows), VAT calculation and choice of output type like portable document format (PDF) or Microsoft Word document (DOC).
